Rough Rafting and practice
Final pieces

Description- in both of my shoe designs, I wanted to do a Florida style design. I wanted both to be very colorful and playful. As you can see in both, I used a lot of blue. This was because every time I go to Florida beaches I see the beautiful blue ocean. I wanted to do a lot of different color mixtures so I mixed bright blues with greens and reds and oranges and yellows and purples. Pretty much any color that I found was bright and full of value I used. In both of these designs you see red crabs. In the high top shoe design I made the crab hold a beach ball.
Analysis- In both of my pieces, I used color as an emphasized element. I also used texture in the clouds and foam of the water in the low top shoe. I also used
Interpretation- In my pieces, I wanted to capture the true essence of Florida. When I think Florida, I think sunny beaches, beautiful blue skies And squishy soft sand. I showed these beach scenes in my shoe. In my high tops, I showed how you can find crabs, beach balls, and beautiful shells al along he beach. I also added the green grass that you usually find in beaches. I continued the green in to the tongue of the shoe to give it more depth. I made the crab hold the beach ball to give it a fun flare and something for your eyes to find. In the low top shoes, had the same idea but changes it up a bit. Instead of having the water as just a side component, I made it mor whe focus, fading from the dark blue to light blue to the sand with a line of foam.
Judgment- I enjoy the pieces that I have made. I think that they are super colorful and fun and makes you stop and just stare. If I had to do these again I would probably try to do it in acrylic or colored pencil to see how different mediums act.
